This production is offering Händel's masterpiece about which a lot of excellent recordings have already been released, however Concerto is offering the true "original" opera version. This means that the roles played by Cesare, Tolomeo and Nireno which have been especially written at that time for the castrati who at best could perform those roles, are in fact beautifully performed by our well-known sopranists, as Angelo Manzotti who is interpreting the main character; Angelo Galeano, the youngest one, who plays the role of Tolomeo in an outstanding way and least but not last Angelo Bonazzoli, playing Nireno. Besides them we have the chance to listen to Alexandra Zabala, Cleopatra, who is well renowned among opera public as well as within the recording industry.
The Arias herein included are surely among Händel's most impressive ones and refer to the most affective themes as love, jealousy, glory and revenge.
The Voice Ensemble and Orchestra by Concento Ecclesiastico are conducted by M° Luca Franco Ferrari.  The Opera in three Acts has been live recorded in Savona, Italy in 2006 under the direction of Alessandro Capaldi; patroness of that special event was Renata Scotto.
This Opera has then been remastered at 32  bit to enhance a pure and high quality sound which may be proved by the most sophisticated  audio technologies.
