He was a Cantor in Rome at S. Petronio in Bologna, in Venice, in Padua.
In 1637 he was called to Vienna to be a tenor at the Cappella Reale of Ferdinando III. He stayed there until his death, eventually becoming Choirmaster and Music Director.
He composed Operas (L'Ermiona, La Roselmina sung version, Mercurio esploratore, Le lacrime di S. Pietro, etc.), Cantatas…for voice solo, Anthems, Litanies, Motets, Musical Enterments, Psalms in concertato style.
