Giuseppe Fausto Modugno under the guidance of Franco Scala, completed his piano studies with Joerg Demus, Nikita Magaloff, Antonio Ballista and Guido Agosti. After graduating ‘cum laude' in piano studies at the Conservatoire G.B. Martini in Bologna, he also obtained his university degree in Letters, then he studied Composition and Conducting as well.
He performs regularly by gaining great success in the major Concert Halls in Italy and abroad as a soloist and by playing with orchestra too in Russia, Germany, Spain, United States and Japan. He has been regularly invited by the University of California and the Showa University in Tokyo to give master classes. For years he has been involved in preparing series of conferences as well as concert-conferences  which he frequently gives on various composers related to the historical and aesthetic background of the major classical repertoire.  He is also the Artistic Director of the "Campus degli Incamminati" in Modigliana. After having been, from the beginning  onwards, the artistic secretary for the Mozart Orchestra, he is at present  in charge of the teaching at the Mozart Orchestra Academy and he also holds the post of Professor of Principal piano at the musical academy "Vecchi-Tonelli" in Modena and Carpi.  He has been recording for various classical Labels as Nuova Era, Hermitage, Tactus and Concerto.
