Alberto Bologni has graduated "cum laude" under the guide of Sandro Materassi  at the Conservatory "L.Cherubini" in Florence. Subsequently he has attended masterclasses held by Stefan Gheorghiu and Ilja Grubert, by achieving the diploma of soloist at the Conservatory of Rotterdam.
By being awarded at important national and international music competitions, he started very young with a an intense concert activity, by playing as soloist as well as collaborating with various Chamber Orchestras, as the Quintet Sandro Materassi, the Trio Petrarca and the Set of Three who brought him to perform in the most important Concert Halls and Theatres in Italy, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, U.K., Finland,  Rumania and South of America. He has participated at the Festival of the Two Worlds in Spoleto and also at the Festival of Tateshina in Japan. He is regularly invited in the States to hold concerts and master classes at the Truman University (Missouri), the Lawrence University and the Park University (Kansas). He has been recording for various classical Labels as Cristophorus, Diapason, On Classical, Tactus and Concerto, as well as carried out radio-television recordings with RAI 1, Radio Vaticana,   Hessischer Rundfunk, West Deutscher Rundfunk, RTSI and Radio Suisse Romande.
He teaches violin at the Istituzione di Alta Cultura Luigi Boccherini in Lucca and plays a Santo Serafino dated 1734.
