Bandini-Chiacchiaretta Duo, guitar and bandoneon, was born in 2002 with the precise aim to present music from Argentina through the charm and fascination of its most representative instruments.
The duo immediately became an important point of reference in the international music scene thanks to their great communicative power combined with extraordinary charisma.
Invited by the most important festivals and theatres all over the world, the duo has toured Mexico, Romania, China, Poland, Slovakia, Austria, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, France, Belgium, Holland, Croatia, Russia, Slovenia, Turkey, Czech Republic, Hungary, gaining extraordinary approval of audience and critics everywhere.
The duo has had the great honour to play the Double Concerto ‘Hommage a Liegi’ by Astor Piazzoll
a conducted by M° Leo Brouwer in the Paganini Auditorium of Parma and for Unione Musicale in Turin with the well-known chamber orchestra ‘I Virtuosi di Mosca’ conducted by Pavel Berman.
In 2004 the duo Bandini-Chiacchiaretta won the XV Award ‘Beniamino Joppolo’ Città di Patti (Messina) for their great artistic achievements in the music field.
In 1995 the duo debuted in the prestigious Great Hall of Saint Pietroburgo Philarmonic, with such great success that they were immediately invited back for the following three years.
The major Argentinian composers are Daniel Binelli, Fernando Tavolaro and last but not least Maximo Diego Pujol
, who wrote and dedicated ‘Luminosa Buenos Aires
’ a new Double Concerto for guitar, bandoneon and orchestra to them.
Their specific mission to bring live music with no borders has led them to work together with artists like Arnoldo Foa', Elio e le Storie Tese, Amanda Sandrelli, Nando Gazzolo and musicians like Fernando Suarez Paz, Pavel Steidl, Michele Pertusi, Corrado Giuffredi, Danilo Rossi, Massimo Quarta, Enrico Bronzi
, Franca Masu, Maria Estela Monti, Enrico Fagone and many others.
Their first CD "Hombres de Tango" has sold more than ten thousand copies and has been welcomed with great enthusiasm from specialized critics.
The duo has recorded radio and TV shows for the most important Italian and foreign stations. Recently a concert of the duo from Bruxelles has been broadcasted via satellite in more than twenty countries.
As teachers, besides being invited by the most famous Academies and Universities, they regularly teach in Institutes of Higher Education: ‘Luigi Boccherini’ in Lucca and ‘Tito Schipa’ in Lecce as well as in the summer Festivals of Gubbio and Portogruaro.
