The Serbian violinist Mirka Scepanovic was born in 1981 in Belgrade (Serbia).
She plays the violin since she was 8 years old. Her artistic studies led her to Madrid at the Escuela Superior de Musica Reina Sofia, as she worked with Rainer Schmidt of the Hagen Quartet.
Important artistic impulses she received in master classes by Kolja Blacher, Gyorgy Pauk, Mauricio Fuks, Walter Levin, Ralf Gothoni, Günter Pichler and Menahem Pressler. She continued to study with Rainer Schmidt in Basel, where she currently lives and concludes her study of contemporary music. As a chamber and orchestral musician, she has already performed in the most European countries.
As a chamber musician, she plays as a trio formation violin and viola with Stojan Krkuleski, clarinet and with Elena Petrova, piano.
