Maurizio Baglini

Born in 1975, in 1999 he unanimously won the World Music Piano Master of Monte-Carlo.
He has been the guest of many prestigious international festivals (Roque d’ Anthéron, Lockenhaus, Yokohama – Japan, “Benedetti Michelangeli” of Bergamo and Brescia, the Australian Chamber Music Festival, les Pianos du nouveau siècle a Lille ), he has played for many important institutions such as the Salle Gaveau in Paris, the Kennedy Center in Washington, the Opera Royale of Versailles, the Auditorium du Louvre in Paris, the Philarmonic Orchestra of Monte-Carlo the Symphonic Orchestra of Barcellona and the Zurcher Kammer Orchestra. He has worked with many Orchestral Directors such as Emmanuel Krivine, Armin Jordan, Donato Renzetti. His discographic productions include the recording of Chopin‘s 27 Studies (using both a modern piano as well as classic instruments), a DVD with the New Japan Philarmonic Orchestra and the complete works of BachBusoni for the Tudor label.
He performs regularly for international radio broadcasts (France Musique, Radio Tre, NHK Japan) and has been exclaimed by critics all over the world as one of the more surprising piano talents of his generation (Le Monde, Washington Post, Le Figaro, American Record Guide). This CD contains the first recording ever made of ” d’ après cinq chansons d’ élite ” dedicated by Azio Corghi to the Silvia Chiesa – Maurizio Baglini duo.
