In concert he performs both as a soloist and accompanied by symphony orchestras, appearing on stage in important concert season series and major music festivals throughout Italy, Europe and America. In 2001 he took part at the Christmas Concert in honour of the Pope held in the Vatican. He has collaborated with numerous musicians, including the lead members of the orchestra of the Teatro alla Scala in Milan. He also has an active interest in the field of contemporary music, in part thanks to his friendships with a number of musicians who have composed and dedicated works to him.
