Ennio Clari

Born in Rovinj (Croatia), Enno Clari graduated from the Florence Conservatoire in 1988. Initially active as a concert pianist, he then undertook training in choral conducting through various courses and seminars and gained experience with the youth choirs at the Music School of Fiesole and with the Choir of the Maggio Fiorentino. He worked in collaboration with great musicians such as Mehta, Chung, Pretre, Tate, Bychkov, Bolton, Oren, Sinopoli, Sawallisch, Schreier, Bellugi and Caetani. From 2001 to 2013 he directed the “Santa Cecilia” choir of the Empoli College amongst others. In 2008 he formed the “Choir Cameristico Fiorentino”, which debuted in Florence with Rossini‘s Petite Messe Solennelle.  As choir director, Ennio Clari has participated in the project “Music in Schools” project since 2002, sponsored by the City and the “F. Busoni” Center in Empoli; since 2007 he has also directed the Convitto Cicognini di Prato Choir. From 2003 he led the Choir of the Cassa di Risparmio in Florence, now known as the ” City Chorus of Florence“, and from 2009, the ” Accademia del Diletto ” choir in Florence, founded by Princess Giorgiana Corsini. With his various choirs he took part in many symphonic and operatic productions with important institutions. Since 2012 he has been part of the Jury of the International Choir Competition held in Venice, “Interkultur”.
