Born in 1979, Elena Carzaniga started singing in choirs when she was very young, showing a strong interest in music from Gregorian Chant to Baroque Music. She studied with D. Menicucci, obtaining her degree from Milan’s Conservatory. Soloist in ‘Schola Gregoriana Ticiniensis’ conducted by G. Conti, she has performed in Switzerland, Italy and Portugal as a guest of ‘Festival de Musique Ancienne de Rougemont’, ‘Cantar di Pietre’, il ‘Festival Internazionale di Canto Gregoriano’, etc. She has also performed in the production of Monteverdi’s ‘L’orfeo’ and ‘Il ritorno di Ulisse in patria’, conducted by O. Dantone, as well as in the world premiere of Vivaldi’s ‘Andromeda Liberata’, under the baton of A. Marcon. She sings with the RSI choir and with Costanzo Porta choir, but also with groups such as L’Aura soave, Accademia Bizantina, I Barocchisti, Venice Baroque Orchestra, Ecoantica, Florilegiumand the RTSI symphony orchestra. She is very active as a teacher, collaborating with music schools, choir associations and children schools. Since 2007, she has been a member of the “Triacamusicale” Ensemble, performing in concerts and CD recordings.
