Discover Marche in ‘Armonia’ – Il resto del Carlino

“Music to reveal the hidden treasures of Marche: a region to be discovered. This is the philosophy of the chamber music festival ‘Armonie della sera’, presented yesterday in the Pietro da Cortona room at the Musei Capitolini in Rome. The ninth festival of ‘Armonie della sera’ confirms the prestige of this festival born in the small village of Ponzano di Fermo at the beautiful Roman church of San Marco, which has since become the most iconic and beautiful church of the Marche region. 2013’s festival brings important changes to be announced in an evening, as always, of festival previews that anticipates the official opening of the festival by about one month. The concert is dedicated to extraordinary pieces in the chamber music repertoire and will take place on Saturday 8th June in Ponzano di Fermo, 21.15, in the Church of San Marco. The performers will include the Kosovo String Trio along with pianist Marco Sollini and Salvatore Barbatano, the organisors and founders of the festival, for an evening dedicated to two magnificent quartets by Schumann (op.47) and Brahms (Op.60) -beautiful and moving music. The new concert series is even more rich and special, with 14 concerts which include various artists from the opening evening of 6th July with a concert in the great church of San Domenico di Fermo, until the 9th August. The official opening is in Fermo, then the concerts will move between Porto San Giorgio, Genga and also to the picturesque settings of Frasassi, Grottazzoline, Porto SantìElpidio, Ascoli Piceno, Macerata and Pesaro for a series of concerts with exceptional musicians such as Armenian pianist Armen Babakanian, the Quartet of La Scala, the violinist Francesco manara, cellist Enrico Brozi to name but a few. There are also many side events, exhibitions and poetry events for a line up of beauty in all its forms.” Full article here.
