Padova 1566 – Londra 1663

Angelo Notari

Born in Padua in 1566, after a period of schooling and employment in Venice, he moved to England at the age of 44: first in the service of Prince Henry the Second and later of Prince Charles (future Charles the Second).
With his compositions (monodies, chamber duets and canzonettas) he helped to spread the Italian style in England.
He died in London in 1663.
