Alberto Miodini

Born in Parma, Alberto Miodini graduated under the guidance of Roberto Cappello and subsequently studied by improving his repertoire of chamber music with various musicians, such as the Trio di Trieste and Maureen Jones.
For more than 17 years he has been performing as pianist with the Trio di Parma, gathering awards at international contests, such as “Gui” in Florenz, ARD in Munich, Melbourne and Lyon. He has also been acknowledged by the ‘Abbiati’ Italian music critics prize in 1994. Miodini plays with the most important Italian music institutions (the Santa Cecilia Academy in Rome, Amici della Musica in Florenz, Gran Teatro La Fenice in Venice Settembre Musica in Turin and Società del Quartetto in Milan), as well as abroad (Berlin Philarmony, Carnegie Hall and Lincon Center in New York, Wigmore Hall in London, at Festivals in Lockenhaus and Luzern, Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires, Los Angeles, Washington, Hong Kong…) by also collaborating with a great number of musicians such as V. Delman, H. Soudant, A.Nanut, B. Giuranna, A. Carbonare just to mention a few. Together with the Trio di Parma he recorded the complete version of the Trios by Brahms, Beethoven, Shostakovich as well as a monographic cd dedicated to Ravel. In addition to his performance with the Trio, he continues to pursue his soloistic career both with recitals and together with well-known Orchestras, just like the Orchestra of the piano Festivals in Brescia and Bergamo, the “Arturo Toscanini” Symphony Orchestra from Emilia Romagna, the Symphony Orchestra from Sicily, the Sanremo Symphony Orchestra, the Chamber Orchestra from Padua and Veneto and the Regional Orchestra from Tuscany…  He also teaches at the Superior school of the Trio di Trieste in Duino and at the School of Music in Fiesole.
