Rossini review in the June issue of Musica journal – 5 stars

Excellent musicians give voice to the instrumental fantasies of Rossini with clarity of phrasing and clear dynamics: the pianists Marco Sollini and Salvatore Barbatano are very effective in their ‘accompanying roles’ as a duo; violinist Francesco Manara has generous phrasing; clarinetist Fabrizio Meloni skillfully creates a flavour for the varied and whimsical in Rossini’s Fantaisie for clarinet and piano; cellist Massimo Polidori has beautiful cantabile playing even in the high register; and horn player Danilo Ponds sound is expressive while spontaneously agile.” “…you can’t not welcome this impeccable performance by excellent musicians who confirm that Italy truly is a nation ...

This is the philosophy of the chamber music festival ‘Armonie della sera’, presented yesterday in the Pietro da Cortona room at the Musei Capitolini in Rome. The ninth festival of ‘Armonie della sera’ confirms the prestige of this festival born in the small village of Ponzano di Fermo at the beautiful Roman church of San Marco, which has since become the most iconic and beautiful church of the Marche region. 2013’s festival brings important changes to be announced in an evening, as always, of festival previews that ...

Giovanni Benedetto Platti – review on Clic Musique from march 2013!

“(…) The dramatic spirit of Platti’s sonatas contributes to the conquest of the instrumental parts of their own autonomy, fitting into the general framework of aspirations and artistic ambitions of the nineteenth century. For many reasons Platti can be considered the true contemporary of Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, whose Prussian sonatas were published the same year as his six sonatas Op. 1 (1742). (…) The peculiarity of the work of this composer and the great musicality ...
