After graduating from High School, baritone Armando Badia devoted himself to music. Initially, he attended ordinary singing classes at the Conservatoire “Jacopo Tomadini” of Udine and subsequently enrolled in a two-year specializing course at the Conservatoire “Giuseppe Tartini” of Trieste where he was awarded a degree magnum cum laude. Pivotal for his technical and artistic growth was the meeting with m° Beniamino Prior and m° Rita Susovsky.
He also attended m° Antonio Piani’s choral music and choral conducting classes at the Conservatoire “Jacopo Tomadini” and graduated with full marks there as well. Eventually, he studied orchestral conducting with m° Corrado De Sessa, m° Adriano Martinolli D’Arcy, m° Romolo Gessi. He was always shown very keen interest in vocal music and, more specifically, in opera.
He appears in concerts as a soloist and as member of various chamber ensembles; his repertoire ranges from ancient to contemporary music and includes Oratorios, vocal chamber music and opera.
